Women's Rowing Competes Versus UMass

WORCESTER, Mass. ­­– The Holy Cross women's rowing team competed versus UMass on Lake Quinsigamond on Saturday. The Minutewomen won all four races.

UMass won the varsity eight race with a time of 6:49, while the Crusaders posted a time of 6:54.4. The Minutewomen won the second varsity eight race with a time of 7:12, while Holy Cross tallied a time of 7:14.7. UMass placed first in the varsity four race with a time of 7:52 as UMass "B" placed second with a time of 8:17.1 and Holy Cross placed third with a time of 8:27.9. The Minutewomen took the novice eight race with a time of 7:31, while the Crusaders placed second with a time of 7:39.6 and UMass "B" placed third with a time of 7:46.6.

The Crusaders return to action on Saturday and Sunday, April 13-14, when they compete at the Knecht Cup on the Cooper River in Camden, N.J.

Holy Cross Varsity Four: Kathryn Dragun (coxswain), Shalynn Doherty, Laura Alves, Sarah Moroz, Colleen Sharry.  

Holy Cross Novice Eight: Emily Langan (coxswain), Lauren Yacobucci, Cristina Pretto, Michaela Carroll, MaryKate Silk, Taylor Teulings, Lillian Daley, Sarah Valente, Siobhan Murphy.
