Women's Rowing Competes Versus Boston College & UMass

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross women's rowing team raced versus Boston College and UMass on Lake Quinsigamond. Boston College won the Irving-Christensen Cup by winning the varsity eight race.

The Eagles won the varsity race with a time of 6:52.99, while UMass (6:55:42) placed second just in front of the Crusaders (6:55.72). BC (6:52.19) also won the second varsity eight race as Holy Cross (6:58:09) placed second and UMass (7:00.98) finished third. The Minutewomen took the varsity four race with a time of 7:38.30, while the Eagles (7:48.74) finished second and the Crusaders (8:22.10) placed third. Boston College (7:08.49) won the novice eight race followed by UMass (7:34.37) and Holy Cross (8:06.20).

The Crusaders return to action when they compete at the Knecht Cup on Saturday and Sunday, April 14-15, on the Cooper River in Camden, N.J.

Holy Cross varsity four: Jill Sollazzo (coxswain), Elizabeth Tobey, Samantha Granison, Ali Finn, Kiley McLean.

Holy Cross novice eight: Marissa Solberg (coxswain), Casey Donahoe, Eugenia Minondo, Lauren Connolly, Kathleen O'Hara, Sarah Moroz, Adrienne Randall, Maggie Casey, Siena Repetti Schmitt.
