Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 22-23 at Head of the Charles Regatta, Boston, Mass., 8:00 a.m.

  • On Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 22 and 23, the Holy Cross women's rowing team will compete at the 47th Head of the Charles Regatta on the Charles River in Boston. On Saturday, the Crusaders will compete in the club four race at 12:44 p.m. (Bow 14), while they will compete in the club eight race at 1:26 p.m. (Bow 14). On Sunday, Holy Cross will compete in the championship four race at 2:31 p.m. (Bow 12). Go here for the schedule and go here for the live webcast.
  • The Head of the Charles is the world's largest two-day rowing event. This event started on Oct. 16, 1965. Last year, Holy Cross placed 16th out of 30 boats in the club eight race, 19th out of 51 in the club four race and 15th out of 20 in the championship four race. In 1993, the varsity eight won the gold medal at the Head of the Charles.  
  • After the Head of the Charles, the Crusaders will compete at the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta in Philadelphia on Saturday, Oct. 29. Last year Holy Cross tied for first with Trinity for the points title.
