Women's Rowing Wins Two Of Three Races Versus BC & UConn

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross women's rowing team took two of three races versus Boston College and Connecticut on Lake Quinsigamond, including the varsity eight winning the Irving-Christensen Cup.

The varsity eight (6:55) earned the Irving-Christensen Cup by defeating Boston College (6:59.5) and UConn (7:03.5). The Crusaders (7:24) were also victorious in the novice eight as they were followed by BC "B" (7:29), BC "A" (7:30.7) and UConn (7:38). UConn (7:03.8) won the second varsity eight as the Crusaders (7:08.2) placed second and BC (7:27) finished third.

The Crusaders return to action on Lake Quinsigamond on Saturday, April 23 versus UMass at 8:30 a.m. Then on Sunday, April 24, the Crusaders will compete for the Patriot League Championship on Lake Quinsigamond at 8:00 a.m.

Holy Cross novice eight: Kristina Giangrande (coxswain), Elizabeth Tobey, Kelsey Marakovits, Ali Finn, Mary Pat Connolly, Gloria McMahon, Catherine Bogdanowicz, Katie Luther, Debbie Sokolowski.
