WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross women's rowing team competed versus Bates, Rochester, Trinity, Wellesley and WPI on Lake Quinsigamond on Sunday. The Crusaders competed in three races with one third place finish and two fourth place finishes.
The varsity eight was won by Bates (7:01.5). Trinity (7:02.0) placed second, Wellesley (7:05.1) finished third, Holy Cross (7:11.4) placed fourth, WPI (7:18.7) finished fifth and Rochester (7:34.3) placed sixth.
The second varsity eight placed fourth out of six teams as Bates (7:20.7) placed first. Wellesley (7:25.8) finished second, followed by Trinity (7:28.5), Holy Cross (7:37.5), WPI (7:53.9) and Rochester (8:10.0).
The novice eight was won by Trinity (7:29.1). Wellesley (7:47.2) placed second, the Crusaders (8:04.6) finished third and WPI (8:20.7) placed fourth.
The Crusaders return to action on Lake Quinsigamond on Saturday, April 16, versus Colby, Connecticut College, Ithaca and MIT at 10:30 a.m.
