Women's Rowing Wins Three Of Four Races Versus Simmons
WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross women's rowing team won three of four races versus Simmons on Lake Quinsigamond on Sunday. The Crusaders won the varsity eight, the second varsity eight and the novice eight competitions, while Simmons won the novice four. This wraps up a very successful opening weekend for the Crusaders as they won five of the seven races as they earned victories in two of the three races versus New Hampshire on April 2 with wins by the second varsity eight and the novice eight.
The Crusaders won the varsity eight race with a time of 7:00 as Simmons recorded a time of 7:07.5. Holy Cross earned the victory in the second varsity eight race with a time of 7:13 as the Sharks finished with a time of 7:28. The Novice eight won with a time of 7:28 as Simmons recorded a time of 7:45. The Sharks won the novice four race with a time of 8:43, while the Crusaders tallied a time of 9:50.
The Crusaders return to action on Lake Quinsigamond on Saturday, April 9, versus Mt. Holyoke, Smith and Trinity at 9:00 a.m. Go here for the schedule.
