WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross athletic director Richard M. Regan, Jr., and rowing program director and head women's rowing coach Patrick Diggins have announced the women's schedule for the 2011 spring season. All 11 regattas that the Crusaders are scheduled to compete in will be on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester.
The Crusaders will go on a spring training trip to Cocoa Beach, Fla., on March 4-12. Holy Cross will kick off the season when it meets Coast Guard and Wesleyan (March 26). The Crusaders will then take on New Hampshire (April 2) and Simmons (April 3). The following week Holy Cross will compete versus Smith, Mt. Holyoke and Trinity (April 9), and Bates (April 10). After the Crusaders take on Colby, Connecticut College, Ithaca and MIT (April 16), they will compete for the Irving-Christensen Cup against Boston College and UConn (April 17). Holy Cross will conclude its dual-race schedule versus UMass (April 23). The Crusaders will then compete at the Patriot League Championship (April 24), the New England Championship (April 30) and the ECAC Championship (May 8).
