WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross women's rowing team competed against Tufts, Ithaca, Connecticut College, Wesleyan, Colby, Williams, New Hampshire and Trinity on Lake Quinsigamond on Saturday. The Crusaders participated in five races as they finished second in the novice eight, third in the varsity eight, second varsity eight and novice four, and fourth in the third varsity eight. Williams won all four varsity races.
The varsity eight race was won by Williams (6:43.1), followed by Ithaca (6:56.8), Holy Cross (7:07.3), Tufts (7:19.2), Wesleyan (7:34.4) and Colby (7:38.8).
Williams (6:47.9) won the second varsity eight race, while Ithaca (7:07.7) placed second, Holy Cross (7:16.0) placed third, Tufts (7:30.0) placed fourth, Wesleyan (7:38.7) placed fifth and Colby (7:53.0) placed sixth.
The third varsity eight race was also won by Williams (7:08.3), followed by Trinity (7:24.1), Ithaca (7:25.1) and Holy Cross (7:45.9).
The novice eight race was won by Tufts (7:29.4), followed by Holy Cross (7:35.7), Connecticut College (7:46.7), Wesleyan (7:50.3) and Ithaca (7:57.0).
New Hampshire (7:55.3) finished first in the novice four race as Williams (8:07.3) finished second and Holy Cross (8:43.5) finished third.
The Crusaders return to action on April 18, when they will race versus Boston College and UConn on Lake Quinsigamond. Go here for the race schedule.
