Holy Cross Picked Fourth In Patriot League Preseason Poll
WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross women’s rowing team has been picked to finish fourth in the 2010 Patriot League preseason poll as voted on by head coaches and sports information directors from around the league.
Bucknell finished first with 48 total points and eight first-place votes, while Navy was second with 44 total points and four first-place votes. The newest member of the Patriot League for women’s rowing, MIT placed third with 34 points. Holy Cross received 24 points, followed by Colgate with 19 points and Lehigh with 11.
The Crusaders will kick of their spring season with two races this week on Lake Quinsigamond. On Saturday, March 27, the Crusaders will race against Coast Guard, Mount Holyoke and Wesleyan, while on Sunday, March 28, they will compete versus Simmons and Smith. Go here for the race schedule.
