Holy Cross Women's Lacrosse Announces 2008 Schedule

WORCESTER, Mass. - Holy Cross athletic director Richard M. Regan, Jr. and head women's lacrosse coach Stephanie Ridolfi have announced the Crusaders' schedule for the 2008 season. Holy Cross is scheduled to play a total of 16 games this season, including seven contests at home at the Hart Turf Field.
The Crusaders will open the season with six straight road games against Massachusetts (Feb. 19), Harvard (Feb. 24), New Hampshire (Feb. 27), UC Davis (March 3), Colgate (March 8) and Navy (March 15). Holy Cross will then play three consecutive home games with contests versus Vermont (March 19), Bucknell (March 22) and Siena (March 27).
After playing road games at Lehigh (March 29) and Yale (April 2), the Crusaders will host Lafayette (April 5), Fairfield (April 9), American (April 13) and Sacred Heart (April 16). Holy Cross will conclude the regular season with a game at Boston College (April 19).
The Patriot League Tournament is set for April 25-27, on the campus of the regular season champion. The top four teams in the final regular season standings will take part in the tournament.
In 2007, the Crusaders won their second straight Patriot League regular season and tournament titles, while they also qualified for the NCAA Tournament for the second straight season and second time in school history. Holy Cross went 13-6 overall and a perfect 5-0 in Patriot League regular season games.
