Women's Lacrosse Places Six On League Academic Honor Roll

Worcester, Mass. - Six players on the Holy Cross women's lacrosse team were named to the 2005 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced this afternoon by Patriot League Executive Director Carolyn Schlie Femovich. Sophomore defender Dana Haggett (Glastonbury, Conn.) led the Crusaders with a 3.63 grade point average for the Spring semester.
Also representing Holy Cross on the academic honor roll are senior forward Dee Dee Banel (Edmonds, Wash.), sophomores Kirstin Brown (East Longmeadow, Mass.) and Jenna Constantino (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.), and freshmen Kristine Corkum (Ipswich, Mass.) and Kelly Winslow (Wrentham, Mass.).
Overall, a total of 63 student-athletes were selected to the women's lacrosse conference honor roll for the 2005 academic year.
To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade point average in the spring semester and be awarded a varsity letter in one of the League's six winter or 10 spring championship sports.
A total of 863 student-athletes were named to the League's Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll, including 53 with 4.0 grade point averages. The Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll includes the sports of men's and women's basketball, men's and women's swimming & diving, men's and women's indoor track & field, baseball, softball, men's and women's lacrosse, men's and women's tennis, men's golf, women's rowing and men's and women's outdoor track & field.
