Women's Lacrosse Places 10 On Academic Honor Roll

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - The Holy Cross women's lacrosse team placed 10 student-athletes on the 2006 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced by league officials this afternoon. The Crusaders' 10 selections were the second most by any team in the conference. Leading Holy Cross was sophomore Kelly Winslow (Wrentham, Mass.) who posted a 3.90 grade point average during the Spring semester.

Joining Winslow on the Academic Honor Roll were seniors Kate Flanagan (Sudbury, Mass.), and Carolyn Smirti (Huntington, N.Y.), juniors Jenna Constantino (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.), Patricia Sutton (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.), and Darcy Wolcott (Concord, N.H.), sophomores Amy Archambault (West Hartford, Conn.) and Kristine Corkum (Ipswich, Mass.), and freshmen Lisa Gagne (Groton, Mass.) and Madeline Heck (Doylestown, Pa.).

A total of 79 student-athletes from women's lacrosse teams around the league earned spots on this year's Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a grade point average of 3.20 or better during the spring semester, and be a starter or key reserve on his team.
