Women's Lacrosse Places 14 On Academic Honor Roll

WORCESTER, Mass. - Fourteen members of the Holy Cross women's lacrosse team have been selected to the 2008 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the league office, including senior Kristine Corkum (Ipswich, Mass.) who led the Crusaders with a 3.93 grade-point average in the spring semester. Corkum and senior Kelly Winslow (Norfolk, Mass.) were named to the Academic Honor Roll for the fourth straight year. Holy Cross' 14 selections were the second most in the league.
The other members of the team to be named to the honor roll were seniors Amy Archambault (West Hartford, Conn.), Nikki Bolduc (Stratham, N.H.) and Cara O'Sullivan (Duxbury, Mass.); junior Kaitlyn Curley (New York, N.Y.); sophomores Mary Kate Finnegan (Rockville Centre, N.Y.), Katie Gardner (Garden City, N.Y.) and Katie Riddle (Cheshire, Conn.); and freshmen Katelyn Gettens (Concord, N.H.), Maryalice Gill (Nashua, N.H.), Mary Milley (Fairfax, Va.), Rachel Murray (Chicago, Ill.) and Meg O'Leary (Longmeadow, Mass.).
A total of 83 student-athletes from women's lacrosse teams around the league were named to the honor roll. To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and be awarded a varsity letter in one of the 16 League-sponsored winter or spring championship sports.
