Schedule: Tuesday, April 7 at Fairfield, Fairfield, Conn., 4:00 p.m. The Holy Cross women's lacrosse team will play two road games this week. On April 7, the Crusaders will play Fairfield at 4:00 p.m., and Lafayette at noon on April 11 in a Patriot League contest.
Sophomore Meg O'Leary (Longmeadow, Mass.) was named the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week, as she scored five goals and had six assists for 11 points on the week. She scored three goals versus Yale on April 1, while she had two goals and six assists for a career-best eight points in the 11-10 double-overtime win over Lehigh on April 4. Her six assists tied the school's single-game record set by Erin Rowse versus Albany on March 21, 2000. Her 14 assists and 33 points are second on the team, while her 19 goals are tied for second.
Freshman Kat Sutton (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) earned Patriot League Rookie of the Week honors. On the week she had four goals and one assist for five points, with two goals versus Yale on April 1, and two goals and one assist in the win over Lehigh on April 4. She is ranked fifth on the team with 13 goals and 17 points.
Senior Kelly Casey (Newtown, Pa.) scored a career-best four goals including the game-winner versus Lehigh in overtime.
Junior Megan Fenton (Bridgewater, N.J.) leads the team in goals with 22.
The Crusaders will play the last four games of the regular season on the road.
Junior Katie Gardner (Garden City, N.Y.) has recorded at least one point in 24 straight games. The streak started on March 8, 2008. She leads the team in points with 37 as she has 19 goals and 18 assists.
