WORCESTER, Mass. - Holy Cross sophomore Meg O'Leary (Longmeadow, Mass.) has been named the Patriot League Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, while freshman Kat Sutton (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) earned Patriot League Rookie of the Week honors. This is the first career Patriot League weekly honor for either player.
O'Leary scored three goals versus Yale on April 1, while she had two goals and six assists for a career-best eight points in the 11-10 double-overtime win over Lehigh on April 4. Her six assists tied the school's single-game record. Her 14 assists and 33 points are second on the team, while her 19 goals are tied for second. For her career, O'Leary has 39 goals and 20 assists for 59 points.
On the week, Sutton had four goals and one assist for five points, with two goals versus Yale on April 1, and two goals and one assist in the win over Lehigh on April 4. She is ranked fifth on the team with 13 goals and 17 points.
The Crusaders will play four straight away games to close out the regular season, starting with Fairfield on April 7, at 4:00 p.m.
