Worcester, Mass. - Freshman attack Amy Archambault (Wilton, Conn.) has been named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week for the second straight week for her performances in Holy Cross' 1-1 week last week. This is Archambault's third conference nod in the past four weeks.
Archambault netted two goals, including the game-winner in HC's 10-5 league win over Lafayette on Sunday, giving her three game-winning goals in six Holy Cross wins this season. Archambault's effort helped give Holy Cross its third Patriot League win of the season, which is already more conference wins than the team had at season's end last year.
The Connecticut native also scored two goals and added an assist in the Crusaders' tough 11-10 double overtime loss to Siena last Wednesday night.
Archambault recorded four goals and an assist, giving her five points on the week. She currently ranks third on the team in scoring with 14 goals and two assists for 16 points this season.
The Crusaders (6-5, 3-1) play host to the University of Vermont, Thursday, April 7 at 3:30.
