Holy Cross To Play Two Home Games This Week

Schedule: Wednesday, April 1 vs. Yale, Worcester, Mass., 4:00 p.m. The Holy Cross women's lacrosse team concludes its home regular season schedule with two games this week. On April 1, the Crusaders will play Yale at 4:00 p.m., while on April 4 they will play Patriot League opponent Lehigh at noon on Senior Day.
The senior class of Calley Benoit (Concord, N.H.), Kelly Casey (Newtown, Pa.), Kaitlyn Curley (New York, N.Y.), Lisa Gagne (Groton, Mass.) and Samantha Hallowell (Duxbury, Mass.) has been one of the most successful classes in the history of Holy Cross lacrosse. During their time here the Crusaders won the first two Patriot League Championships and earned the first two NCAA postseason appearances in the history of the program. These seniors have been a part of 34 wins in their four years.
Junior Megan Fenton (Bridgewater, N.J.) leads the team in goals with 22.
Junior Katie Gardner (Garden City, N.Y.) has recorded at least one point in 22 straight games. The streak, which started on March 8, 2008, is currently tied for the 16th longest in the nation. She leads the team in points with 33 as she has 17 goals and 16 assists.
Freshman Kat Sutton (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) had a career-best three points in the Bucknell contest as she had two goals and one assist.
After this week, the Crusaders will play the last four games of the regular season on the road.
