Patricia Sutton Honored by League

WORCESTER, Mass. - Senior Patricia Sutton (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) has been named the women's lacrosse Patriot League Offensive Player of the week for the second time this season after helping the Crusaders to a 2-0 week.
Last week Sutton scored nine goals over two games and had a team-high five goals versus Lafayette on March 24. Sutton had four assists and 13 points, leading the Crusaders to a 19-13 victory over Siena and a 17-6 win over Lafayette. Sutton also had three ground balls in the Lafayette game and 12 shots on goal. Patricia leads the league in scoring with 29 goals and is second with 40 points.
Junior attack Kristine Corkum (Ipswich, Mass.) and senior goalkeeper Megan Orr (Wilton, Conn.) received honorable mention for their performances last week. Corkum had six goals and two assists while Orr had 18 saves, faced 52 shots and held Lafayette to just six goals.
The Crusaders face Brown Tuesday in non-conference action and will return home Saturday to take on conference opponent American at 12:00 p.m.
