WORCESTER, Mass. - Holy Cross freshman goalie Amy Martin (Bloomfield, Mich.) was named the Patriot League Women's Lacrosse Goalie of the Week for her performance in wins against Vermont and Bucknell. She earned her first two collegiate victories as she averaged 11.5 saves per game.
In the 13-11 win over Vermont on March 19, Martin made a career best 15 saves, while she made eight saves and allowed only four goals in the 16-6 victory over Bucknell on March 22. Martin currently leads the Patriot League in saves per game with 11.25.
The Crusaders (2-6 overall and 1-2 Patriot League) will return to action on Thursday, March 27 when they host Siena at the Hart Turf Field at 4:00 p.m.
