WELLINGTON, Fla. - Junior midfielder Patricia Sutton (Saratoga, Spring, N.Y.) scored four goals and had one assist as the Holy Cross women's lacrosse team defeated Robert Morris, 16-3, Tuesday in non-conference action. The Crusaders improve to 2-2 overall with the win.
Ten different players scored for the Crusaders as they held the Colonials to just three goals. Junior Kelly Winslow (Wrentham, Mass.) sophomore Calley Benoit (Concord, N.H.) and freshman Megan Fenton (Bridgewater, N.J.) scored two goals each while senior Jenna Constantino (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.), juniors Nikkie Bolduc (Exeter, N.H.), Kaitlin Nangle (Skaneateles, N.Y.) and Kristin Corkum (Ipswich, Mass.) and freshman Ali Baird (Wilbraham, Mass.) each added one goal. Junior Amy Archambault (West Hartford, Conn.), Winslow, Corkum and Sutton all had an assist.
Sutton scored all four of her goals in the first 30 minutes of the game to lead Holy Cross to at 10-2 advantage at the completion of the first half. Sutton leads the team with 14 goals while Corkum is second with 10 in the first four games of the season.
Freshman Baird and sophomore Casey scored their first collegiate goals while sophomore Benoit recorded her first goals of the season and fourth of her career.
Senior goalkeeper Megan Orr (Wilton, Conn.) recorded the win with four saves on 10 shots. Holy Cross out shot Robert Morris 28-10.
The Crusaders will travel to play Sacred Heart Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in non-conference action.
