WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross senior goalie Sarah Weber (Summit, N.J.) has been named the ECAC New England Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week. In a 9-6 victory at Lehigh on April 19, Weber recorded five saves and posted a .538 save percentage to earn the win. The victory clinched the No. 4 seed and its accompanying home game in the Patriot League quarterfinals for the Crusaders.
Throughout her Holy Cross career, Weber ranks sixth in Holy Cross history with 363 saves over 60 games. Additionally, she is second all-time for the Crusaders with 26 wins. She has twice been named Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week.
The Crusaders (7-11, 4-4 PL) return to action on Thursday, April 24, when they travel to No. 1 seed and nationally ranked No. 12 Loyola (Md.) (12-4, 8-0 PL) for a 5:00 p.m. Patriot League semifinal matchup.
