WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross athletic director Richard M. Regan, Jr., and head women's lacrosse coach Stephanie Ridolfi have announced the Crusaders' 2011 schedule. Holy Cross is scheduled to play 17 regular season games, including eight at home.
Holy Cross will start the season with three straight games at Holy Cross Field as the Crusaders will play against Massachusetts (Feb. 16), New Hampshire (Feb. 23) and Yale (Feb. 26). Holy Cross had an outstanding 5-2 record last season at Holy Cross Field. After playing at Fairfield (March 1), the Crusaders will travel to Clermont, Fla., to take on Boston College (March 5) and Connecticut (March 9), at the National Training Center.
The Crusaders start Patriot League action with an away game versus American (March 12), and then continue on the road versus Brown (March 16) and Sacred Heart (March 19). After Bryant (March 22) and Colgate (March 26) visit Worcester, Holy Cross will hit the road for a contest with Vermont (March 30).
Holy Cross kicks off April with a game at Holy Cross Field versus 2010 Patriot League Tournament champion and NCAA Tournament participant Navy (April 2). After a game at Bucknell (April 9), Holy Cross will play at home versus Harvard (April 13) and Lehigh (April 16). The Crusaders then conclude the regular season at Lafayette (April 23).
The Patriot League Tournament will take place on April 29 and May 1, on the campus of the regular season champion. The top four teams in the final regular season standings will qualify for the tournament.
