WORCESTER, Mass. – Twelve members of the Holy Cross women's lacrosse team have been selected to the 2010 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the league office, including sophomore Cami Thompson (Rockville, Md.) who earned a perfect 4.0 grade-point average in the spring semester for the second straight year. She was just one of only six student-athletes on the women's lacrosse Academic Honor Roll to have a 4.0 average. Also senior Katie Riddle (Cheshire, Conn.) made the Academic Honor Roll for the fourth time.
The other members of the team to be named to the Academic Honor Roll were seniors Megan Fenton (Bridgewater, N.J.), Katie Gardner (Garden City, N.Y.) and Laurie Noreika (New Fairfield, Conn.); juniors Alex Corrado (Summit, N.J.), Katelyn Gettens (Concord, N.H.), Meg O'Leary (Longmeadow, Mass.) and Cassie Rudden (Hopkinton, Mass.); and freshmen Maddie Carrellas (Middletown, R.I.), Sarah Daly (Ridgewood, N.J.) and Caroline Pedlow (Charlotte, N.C.).
A total of 100 student-athletes from women's lacrosse teams around the league were named to the Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a winter or spring sport student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester.
