WORCESTER, Mass. - Holy Cross junior Amy Martin (Bloomfield, Mich.) has been named the Patriot League Women's Lacrosse Goalie of the Week. She stopped 25 of 43 shots for a .581 save percentage and a 9.00 goals against average in two games averaging 12.5 saves per contest. This is the second time that she has earned this honor as she was also named the Goalie of the Week as a freshman in 2008.
Martin made 15 saves for a .600 save percentage in the 10-4 loss at New Hampshire on Feb. 24, while she stopped 10 shots for a .556 save percentage in the 8-5 loss at Yale on Feb. 27. Her 10.67 saves per game this season rank second in the Patriot League and her .492 save percentage is third. Her 340 career saves are fifth all-time at Holy Cross.
The Crusaders (0-3 overall) return to action when they play a neutral site contest versus Mount St. Mary's on March 3 at 12:00 p.m. (ET), while they will play Denver on March 6 at 6:30 p.m. (ET). Both games will be played at Denver's Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium.
