Worcester, Mass. - Holy Cross women's hockey player, freshman Lisa Wilson (Corrunda, Ont. Canada) was named ECAC East Rookie of the Week on Tuesday. Wilson totaled three points over the weekend, including her career high of two goals against Castleton State on Saturday afternoon. She also tallied an assist in the Crusader's 3-1 win over St. Michael's on Sunday.
In the 10-0 rout of Castleton State, Wilson took full advantage of the power plays offered up by the Spartans. Both of her goals came in the second period, with Castleton being one skater down. Wilson leads the Crusaders with three power play goals on the season.
Wilson's goals have helped the Crusader women's hockey team to a 4-1-0 overall and 4-1-0 ECAC East record so far. Holy Cross is currently tied for fourth place in the ECAC East. RIT also has four wins in the conference.
The Holy Cross women's ice hockey team returns to action Tuesday November 28 against Connecticut College. The puck is set to drop at 7:00 pm in the Hart Center Rink.
