Women's Hockey to Hold Charity Drive

Nov. 14, 2006

Worcester, Mass. - The Holy Cross women's ice hockey team is sponsoring a baby supplies drive at both of this weekend's home games. The drive is in partnership with the Worcester County Sheriff's Office and the Women's Community Corrections Center to benefit The Friendly House. The Friendly House is an emergency shelter in Worcester that serves many women and children. The Crusader women's hockey team is asking for donations of baby supplies as admission to their Saturday, November 18 and Sunday, November 19 home games at the Hart Center Rink at Holy Cross. Both games start at 2 p.m.

The Friendly House in need of such items as: diapers, formula, wipes, bottles, nipples, baby wash, bibs, undershirts, baby clothes, socks, grooming items, baby food, spoons, bowls, sippy cups, cereal and other supplies. As always, admission to the Holy Cross women's ice hockey games is free, but a donation of baby supplies would help the Friendly House better serve the Worcester Community.
