WORCESTER, Mass. - Holy Cross athletic director Richard M. Regan, Jr. and head coach Peter Van Buskirk have announced the Crusader women's ice hockey schedule for the 2008-2009 season. The Crusaders will host 14 home games at the Hart Center this season, beginning with an exhibition game against Bluewater on Oct. 18.
Holy Cross will begin the regular season on the road at Nichols (Nov. 4) and then return to the Hart Center for a seven-game home stand. In December the Crusaders will travel to M.I.T (Dec. 4), St. Michael's (Dec.6) and Wesleyan (Dec. 9).
The Crusaders return to action at Colby (Jan. 6), before hosting Nichols (Jan. 10) at the Hart Center. On the road for the next two games, the Crusaders will play at UMass-Boston (Jan. 16) and at Salve Regina (Jan. 17) before hosting Trinity (Jan. 20). The Crusaders finish the month of January on the road at Manhattanville (Jan. 23) New England College (Jan. 30) and St. Anselm (Jan. 31).
Holy Cross returns to the Hart Center for a two game home stand against M.I.T. (Feb. 7) and St. Michael's (Feb. 8), followed by road games at Norwich (Feb. 13) and Castleton State (Feb. 14). The Crusaders will finish the regular season at home against Plymouth State (Feb. 20) and Southern Maine (Feb. 21).
The Crusaders will conclude the season when they host the ECAC open tournament at the Hart Center on Feb. 28-Mar. 1.
