WORCESTER, Mass. - The College of the Holy Cross has named Rob Godfrey as the director of hockey operations, as announced by Athletic Director Richard M. Regan, Jr. Godfrey will also serve as an assistant equipment manager for the athletic department and as an assistant women's hockey coach.
A native of Thunder Bay, Ontario and a 2007 graduate of Holy Cross, Godfrey had an outstanding career as a defenseman for the Crusaders. He played in a 121 career games with nine goals and 25 assists for 34 points, including four goals and seven assists for 11 points as a senior and four goals and 12 assists for 16 points as a junior. In 2005-06, Godfrey was named the Atlantic Hockey Best Defensive Defenseman, while he received the Glenn "Spike" Crane Memorial Award and the Seventh Player Award. As a senior, he served as the team's assistant captain and received the Dr. James M. Stewart Memorial Award which is the Coaches Award given for commitment, leadership and performance.
