Worcester, Mass. - Senior forward Stephanie Couzin (Chicago, Ill.) and junior defenseman Lisa Wilson (Corunna, Ontario) will serve as co-captains for the 2008-2009 women's ice hockey team, as announced by the hockey program.
Couzin led the team with 25 points during the 2007-2008 season, including 10 goals and 15 assists. She scored two goals on the power play, two short-handed and had one game-winner. Couzin leads all active players on the team in career points with 67, on 34 goals and 33 assists. She was also named the ECAC Player of the Week on Nov. 14, as well as the Crusader of the Week on Nov. 12.
Wilson led the team with 12 goals scored during the 2007-2008 season, with three on the power play, one short-handed and two game-winners. She was second in the conference in scoring by defensemen with 23 points on 12 goals and 11 assists. Her career stats now included 22 goals and 18 assists for 40 points. She recently was named to the 2007-2008 first team All-Conference squad as announced by the commissioner of the ECAC.
