Crusaders Prepare To Host MIT and St. Michael's

  • The Crusaders' 19 game unbeaten streak, beginning at the last game of the 2007-2008 season, came to an end as they fell to St. Anselm, 2-1, on Saturday, Jan. 31.

  • Freshman Stacey Hochkins (New Boston, Mich.) scored her fourth short handed goal of the season against New England. Hochkins leads the ECAC in short handed goals and short handed points.

  • Junior Kathryn Kelley (Dedham, Mass.) scored her second game-winning goal of the season against New England. Sophomore Jocelyn Kratchmer (Watrous, Saskatchewan) and freshman Nicola Garat (Princeton, N.J.) are tied for first in the ECAC with five game-winning goals a piece. The Holy Cross game-winning goals single-season record is seven, set by Kolt Braxson during the 2002-03 season.

  • Freshman Carly Dominick-Sobol (Syracuse, N.Y.) suffered her first career loss in net against St. Anselm. Dominick-Sobol's 7-1-0 record is second best in the ECAC.

  • Holy Cross hosts ECAC opponents MIT and St. Michael's Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 7-8.

  • The Crusaders defeated MIT, 6-1, on Dec. 4 in Cambridge, Mass. and defeated St. Michael's, 4-1, on Dec. 6 in South Burlington, Vt.
