Crusaders Hit The Road For Two ECAC East Games

The Crusaders remain unbeaten as they defeated Trinity, 2-1, on Jan. 20 and Manhattanville, 3-2, on Jan. 21. The Crusaders are the only team to defeat Manhattanville this season, sweeping the two-game series. Manhattanville was chosen as the pre-season favorite and Holy Cross had lost 17 prior match-ups. Manhattanville still remains on top of the ECAC East standing with 24 points, while Holy Cross is second with 23.
Holy Cross is currently on an 18 game unbeaten streak, winning the last game of the 2007-2008 season and unbeaten in all 17 games this season.
The Crusaders continue ECAC East action on the road Friday, Jan. 30 against New England College and Saturday, Jan. 31 against St. Anselm. Holy Cross returns to the Hart Center on Saturday, Feb. 7 taking on MIT.
In the 2008-2009 Division III Women's College Hockey Ratings, Holy Cross is fourth with a rating of 1.8438.
Freshman Stacey Hochkins (New Boston, Mich.) and sophomore Jocelyn Kratchmer (Watrous, Saskatchewan) are first and second in the ECAC East for point scoring with 36 and 33 points, goal scoring with 17 and 15 goals, assist scoring with 19 and 18 assists and short handed goals with three and two.
Freshman Carly Dominick-Sobol's (Syracuse, N.Y.) 7-0-0 record is the best in the ECAC East and number one in Division I women's hockey.
