Worcester, Mass. - Senior tri-captain Meghan Mahoney (Utica, N.Y.) posted her 100th career-point on Friday, Jan. 7, in the Crusaders 3-2 overtime victory against UMass Boston. She followed it up with her 101st point on Saturday, Jan. 8, in the game against the Beacons.
"Meghan has been our `go-to' player since her first year," Head Coach Peter Van Buskirk said. "It is a well deserved milestone."
Mahoney scored her 100th collegiate-point when she registered the lone assist on the game-winning goal that was scored just 19 seconds into overtime on Friday night against the Beacons. She posted her 101st career-point, another assist, on Saturday in the Crusaders 3-1 loss to UMass Boston.
Mahoney is the first women's hockey player to reach 100 career-points.
The Crusaders visit Rensselaer in an ECAC East game, Saturday, Jan. 15 at 3 p.m. and returns on Sunday, Jan. 16 for a second game at 1 p.m.
