Purchase, N.Y. - The Holy Cross women's hockey team was shutout by Manhattanville, 7-0, Saturday afternoon.
Sophomore Casey McCullion (Philadelphia, Pa.) made 41 saves for the Crusaders.
Cherie Stewart led the Valiants with two goals and an assist.
Manhattanville struck early in the first with a goal by Jessica Zimmerman at 2:10. Two more goals by Jessica Temesy and Cory Alcorn in the first period would put the Valiants up by three.
Three goals in the second increased Manhattanville's margin by six. Stewart posted the first two markers of the stanza, as Ashley Trimble netted the Valiants sixth goal of the game with one second remaining in the period.
Jennifer Mulick rounded out the scoring at 12:57 in the third for a final score of 7-0.
Manhattanville's Nicole Elliot halted all five of the Crusaders shots on goal.
The Crusaders wrap up the regular season against Manhattanville on Sunday, Feb. 20 at 2 p.m.
