Hawks Hold Off Holy Cross

Worcester, Mass. - The Holy Cross women's hockey team was shutout by Saint Anselm, 2-0, Saturday afternoon at the Hart Center.

The Hawks opened up scoring at 4:50 into the game when newcomer Cindy Lebel (Greenville, Maine) netted the game-winner from just in front of the crease on the right side. Sophomore Moraghan McKenna (Wayzala, Minn.) and freshman Kelsey Hunt (Milwaukee, Wis.) assisted on the play.

Freshman Tiea Kurlowecz (Edina, Minn.) put Saint Anselm up by two, midway through the third with help from Arden Lyons (Westford, Mass.).

Sophomore Casey McCullion (Philadelphia, Pa.) made 32 saves while freshman Andrea Berlin halted 11 shots on goal for the shutout.

The Crusaders travel to Western Massachusetts to take on Amherst, Wednesday, Feb. 9 at 7 p.m.
