WORCESTER, Mass. – Sophomore defenseman Francesca Panarelli (Shrewsbury, Mass.) has been named to the 2012-2013 ECAC Women's East All-Conference second team, as announced by the league. Panarelli finished the season as the top Holy Cross defensive points scorer, tallying four goals and a career-high 13 assists for 17 points. She was fifth overall in points on the team.
Panarelli tied her career-high with three points in Holy Cross's 3-0 victory over Castleton State on Feb. 15. She posted a goal and two assists in the game. The sophomore also put a career-best seven shots on goal against St. Michael's (12/1) and Wesleyan (11/25).
Last season, Panarelli was named to the ECAC Women's East All-Rookie team after leading all freshmen in team scoring with four goals and 12 assists. She now has eight goals and 25 assists for 33 career points.
The women's ice hockey team finished the 2012-2013 season with a record of 16-6-5 overall and 9-5-4 in the ECAC East.
