Hochkins Named ECAC East Player Of The Week

WORCESTER, Mass. - Senior forward Stacey Hochkins (New Boston, Mich.) has been named the ECAC East Player of the Week. Last weekend, Hochkins led the Holy Cross women's ice hockey team to a pair of victories in its first two games of the 2011-2012 season.

During Friday night's 3-0 season-opening victory over Salve Regina, Hochkins totaled two goals and one assist. She then recorded two more goals and an assist in Saturday's 8-2 win over Sacred Heart.

Over the course of the weekend, Hochkins became Holy Cross' all-time leader in career points scored. She has now totaled 149 career points on 79 goals and 70 assists in 81 games played.

The Crusaders (2-0 overall, 1-0 ECAC East) return to action on Friday, Nov. 11, when they play host to UMass-Boston at 7:00 p.m.
