Three Women’s Ice Hockey Players Named To All-ECAC Teams

Stacey Hochkins

WORCESTER, Mass. - Holy Cross women's ice hockey junior Stacey Hochkins (New Boston, Mich.) has been named to the All-ECAC East first team, announced by the league and commissioner of the ECAC, Rudy Keeling. The award is presented by Combat Sports and voted on by the coaches of the league each year. Seniors Jocelyn Kratchmer (Watrous, Saskatchewan) and Emily Henry (Lumsden, Saskatchewan) earned second team All-ECAC East honors.

Entering the last weekend of play, Hochkins leads the Crusaders with 22 goals and 18 assists for 40 points. This is the third consecutive season that Hochkins has earned first team honors. In 2009, Hochkins was named the ECAC East Rookie of the Year, while in 2010 she was named the ECAC East Player of the Year. On Nov. 15, Hochkins was named ECAC East Player of the Week for the fifth time in her career after leading the Crusaders with eight points in three games.

Kratchmer concluded the regular season with 18 goals and 18 assists for 36 points. This season, Kratchmer broke the Holy Cross career points record as she now has 137 career points. This is the third time she has earned all-conference honors, after being named to the first team in 2009 and earning honorable mention honors in 2010. This is Henry's first All-ECAC East honor after leading Holy Cross defenseman with 18 points, a career-best.
