Stacey Hochkins Named ECAC East Women’s Ice Hockey Player Of The Week
WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross junior forward Stacey Hochkins (New Boston, Mich.) has been named the ECAC East women's ice hockey Player of the Week as announced by the league. This is Hochkins' first Player of the Week award of the 2010-2011 season and the fifth of her career. In her freshman campaign, Hochkins was also named ECAC Rookie of the Week three times.
In three games last week, Hochkins led the Crusaders with eight points. Hochkins scored a goal in Holy Cross' 3-2 loss against Sacred Heart, she led the Crusaders to a 4-1 win over UMass-Boston with one goal and two assists and then recorded a season-high four points with two goals and two assists in a 6-1 win over St. Anselm.
Hochkins leads the Crusaders with five goals and seven assist for 12 points. On Nov. 3, Hochkins recorded her 100th career point in a Holy Cross uniform when she scored her first goal of the season. Hochkins currently is fourth all-time at Holy Cross with 109 career points, tied for second with 56 career goals and fifth with 53 career assists.
Holy Cross returns home to Worcester, as it welcomes Manhattanville and Nichols to the Hart Center for a pair of ECAC East games on Friday, Nov. 19 and Saturday, Nov. 20.
