WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross head women's ice hockey coach Peter Van Buskirk and athletic director Richard M. Regan, Jr., have announced the 2010-2011 schedule. The Crusaders will play a total of 25 regular season games, including 13 at the Hart Center. Holy Cross will kick off the season at ECAC opponent Salve Regina (Oct. 29) and then travel to Sacred Heart (Nov. 3) before facing off with the Pioneers in the home-opener at the Hart Center on Nov. 9.
The remainder of the 2010 portion of the schedule features ECAC games against UMass-Boston (Nov. 12), St. Anselm (Nov. 13), Manhattanville (Nov. 19), Nichols (Nov. 20), Plymouth State (Dec. 3) and Southern Maine (Dec. 4). The Crusaders will host non-conference opponents Wesleyan (Nov. 30) and Connecticut College (Dec. 7).
Holy Cross will open the New Year when it travels to non-conference opponent Colby on Jan. 7. The Crusaders will host seven games in January at the Hart Center, welcoming Trinity (Jan. 11), Norwich (Jan. 14), St. Michael's (Jan. 15), New England College (Jan. 22), Castleton State (Jan. 23), Plymouth State (Jan. 26) and Salve Regina (Jan. 29).
In February, the Crusades will travel to St. Anselm (Feb. 4), UMass-Boston (Feb. 5), Nichols (Feb. 11) and Manhattanville (Feb. 12). Holy Cross will close out the regular season at the Hart Center with a home game against Southern Maine on Feb. 20.
The Crusaders will look to defend their 2010 ECAC Open title at the ECAC Open Tournament on Feb. 26 and 27 in Colchester, Vt.
