Crusaders Take Third At Williams Invitational

Williamstown, Mass. - The Holy Cross women's golf team finished third at the Williams College Ladies Invitational with a total score of 372 at the Taconic Golf Club.

Leading the Crusaders was freshman Ellen Lamson (South Royalton, Vt.), who finished sixth with a single-round score of 83.

Freshman Amy Lussier (Milton, Mass.) placed 14th with a score of 89, while competing individually was Chelsea DuHaime (Concord, N.H.) tied for 15th-place.

Senior captain Claudia Rothschild (Garden City, N.Y.) shot a single-round of 99, good enough for 18th, while junior Kerrianne Crandall (Scotia, N.Y.) and sophomore Cynthia Sanossian (Scaresdale, N.Y.) tied for 19 th with a score of 101.

Middlebury won the tournament with a team-score of 317, while Wellesley finished second with a single-round score of 333. Host Williams placed last with a score of 388.

The team competes at the Rutgers University Women's Invitational at the Rutgers Golf Club, in Piscataway , N.J. on Friday-Saturday, Oct. 15-16.
