Women's Golf Places Sixth At Sacred Heart Invitational

MILFORD, Conn. - The Holy Cross women's golf team finished in sixth place out of seven teams at the Sacred Heart Invitational at the Great River Golf Club. Senior Ellen Lamson (South Royalton, Vt.) led the Crusaders as she finished in fifth place with a two-round score of 168. Holy Cross finished the two-day tournament with a total of 730, while Fairleigh Dickinson won the event with a 684.

Freshman Meghan Doherty (Westerly, R.I.) had the second best score for the Crusaders with a 175 which was good enough for eighth place, while freshman Johanna Gavin (Hackettstown, N.J.) had a 181 for a tie for 13th. Freshman Kerrin O'Leary (Milton, Mass.) shot a 206 for a 33rd place finish and junior Flynn Govern (Fairfield, Conn.) had a 209 and finished in 34th place.

The Crusaders have now concluded the fall season.
