Women's Golf Places Sixth At Williams Fall Classic

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - The Holy Cross women's golf team placed sixth out of 13 teams at the Williams Fall Classic on Saturday and Sunday at the Taconic Golf Club. Sophomore Meghan Doherty (Westerly, R.I.) led the Crusaders as she finished in 16th place with a two-round score of 164. Holy Cross finished the two-day tournament with a total of 710, while Middlebury won the event with a 642.

Sophomore Johanna Gavin (Hackettstown, N.J.) had the second best score for the Crusaders with a 173 which was good enough for a 31st place finish, while freshman Ellie Deluca (New Canaan, Conn.) had a 181 for a tie for 40th.

The Crusaders return to action on Saturday, Oct. 18, when they travel to Foxborough, Mass., to compete at the Terrier Shootout at the Foxborough Country Club at 9:00 a.m.
