Holy Cross Finishes Eighth At Mount Holyoke Invitational

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. - The Holy Cross women's golf team finished in eighth place out of 13 teams at the Mount Holyoke Invitational at the Orchards Golf Club on Saturday and Sunday. Sophomore Meghan Doherty (Westerly, R.I.) led the Crusaders as she tied for 13th place with a two-round score of 164. Holy Cross finished the two-day tournament with a total score of 699, while Amherst College won the event with a 657.
Sophomore Johanna Gavin (Hackettstown, N.J.) had the second best score for the Crusaders with a 170, which was good enough for 27th place. Freshman Ellie Deluca (New Canaan, Conn.) finished in 41st place with a score of 176.
The Crusaders return to action on Oct. 11-12, when they compete at the Williams Fall Classic at the Taconic Golf Club in Williamstown, Mass.
