NINETY SIX, S.C. - The Holy Cross women's golf team stands in eighth place after day two of the three-day Big South Conference Championship, which is being held at the Patriot Golf Club in Ninety Six, S.C. The Crusaders finished the day with a total of 360 strokes, and now have a two-day total of 728. Coastal Carolina currently leads the event with 611 strokes through two days.
Sophomore Meghan Doherty (Westerly, R.I.) led the Crusaders with a round of 84, and is currently in 29th place with 169 strokes through two rounds. Sophomore Johanna Gavin (Hackettstown, N.J.) had the second-best round for the Crusaders with a 90 and is in 40th place with 178 total strokes. Freshman Ellie Deluca (New Caanan, Conn.) stands in 42nd place, while sophomore Kerrin O'Leary (Milton, Mass.) is 43rd and sophomore Megan McCarthy (Beverly, Mass.) is 44th. Aruka Felgueroso of Coastal Carolina stands in first place as an individual with 142 strokes through two rounds.
The Big South Championship will conclude on Wednesday.
