Crusaders Conclude Campaign At Hamilton Invitational

  • The Holy Cross women's golf team competed in the Patriot League Championship last weekend at the Saucon Valley Country Club in Bethlehem, Pa. The Crusaders finished in fifth place of five teams with a total score of 1,174 strokes in three rounds, as Bucknell won the title with a team score of 930.
  • Holy Cross will wrap up the 2013-2014 season on Saturday and Sunday, April 26-27 at the Hamilton Invitational held at the Skenandoa Golf Club in Clinton, N.Y.
  • At the Patriot League Championship, the Crusaders were led by sophomore Lydia Deneen (Hubbardston, Mass.) who finished in 23rd place with a score of 276. Deneen had two rounds in the 80s, posting an 85 in the first round and an 88 in the final round. Seven strokes off of Deneen, junior Meaghan Sullivan (Brockton, Mass.) finished the event in 25th place with 283 total strokes.  
  • Sophomores Clare McMahon (Buffalo, N.Y.), Erika Park (Berlin, Conn.) and Regan McCooey (Manhasset, N.Y.) rounded out the Crusader lineup in the championship. The sophomore trio finished consecutively, McMahon posted a total of 301 for a 26th place as Park finished in 27th place and McCooey in 28th place, respectively.
