Women’s Golf Places Fifth At Patriot League Championship

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Holy Cross women's golf team finished in fifth place out of five teams at the Patriot League Championship on Saturday and Sunday, April 19-20 at the par-72 Saucon Valley Country Club. Bucknell won the tournament with a three-round team score of 930 strokes, while the Crusaders combined to shoot 1,174 strokes.

Holy Cross sophomore Lydia Deneen (Hubbardston, Mass.) led the team with a three-round score of 276 (+60), which placed her 23rd. Crusader junior Meaghan Sullivan (Brockton, Mass.) came in 25th with a total score of 283 (+67), while sophomore Claire McMahon (Buffalo, N.Y.) finished in 26th with a scorecard of 301 (+85). Sophomores Erika Park (Berlin, Conn.) and Regan McCooey (Manhasset, N.Y.) finished in 27th and 28th place, respectively, with scores of 314 (+98) and 338 (+122).

The Crusaders will wrap up the 2013-2014 season with the Hamilton Invitational on Saturday and Sunday, April 26-27 at the Skenandoa Golf Club in Clinton, N.Y.
