EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Holy Cross women's golf team finished in 13th place out of 13 teams at the Brown Invitational on Sunday and Monday, April 13-14 at the par-71 Metacomet Country Club. Harvard claimed the tournament crown with a two-day total of 628 strokes, while Holy Cross combined to shoot 811 strokes.
The Crusaders were led sophomore Lydia Deneen (Hubbardston, Mass.) who finished in a tie for 65th place with a two-round total score of 192 (+50). Holy Cross junior Meaghan Sullivan (Brockton, Mass.) came in 69th with a scorecard of 203 (+61), while freshman Mackenzie Horl (Garden City, N.Y.) finished in 70th with a total score of 207 (+65). Sophomore Claire McMahon (Buffalo, N.Y.) and senior Amanda Gallagher (Park Ridge, Ill.) placed in 71st and 72nd, respectively, with scores of 209 (+67) and 227 (+85).
Holy Cross returns to action on Saturday and Sunday, April 19-20, when it will compete in the Patriot League Championship at Saucon Valley Country Club in Bethlehem, Pa.
