Holy Cross Prepares For Dartmouth Invitational

  • The Holy Cross women's golf team will continue the 2013-2014 season on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 14-15 at the Dartmouth Invitational held at the Hanover Country Club in Hanover, N.H.
  • Last week, the Crusaders came in second out of three teams at a tri-match with Wellesley and Merrimack at Nehoiden Golf Course on Saturday, Sept. 7. Merrimack won the match with a total score of 314 strokes (+26), while the Crusaders combined to shoot 342 strokes (+54).
  • Holy Cross sophomore Marisa Cameron (Garden City, N.Y.) was named GoHolyCross.com's Crusader of the Week for her performance at the tri-match. Cameron led the Crusaders with a career-low score of 78 (+6), which put her in third place individually.
  • Junior captain Morgan Powers (Glastonbury, Conn.) placed in sixth with a plus-nine 81, while sophomore Lydia Deneen (Hubbardston, Mass.) shot a career-low of 89, good for 10th place.
  • On Aug. 30, 2013, Holy Cross named Skip Guss as the second head women's golf coach in program history. Guss will be taking over for previous women's head coach Bob Molt, who will now be the primary head coach for the men's golf team.
