Crusaders Wrap Up Season At Nazareth Invitational

  • The Holy Cross women's golf team competed in a pair of tournament this past week. The Crusaders placed third at the Hartford Invitational on Monday and Tuesday, April 15-16, while the finished in fourth at the Patriot League Championship on Saturday and Sunday, April 20-21. Holy Cross shot a team total of 648 (+72) at the Hartford Invitational and a three-round score of 1116 strokes (+276) at the Patriot League Championship.
  • This week, the Crusaders will wrap up the 2012-2013 season when they travel to Pittsford, N.Y. to compete in the Nazareth Invitational held at the Monroe Golf Club on Saturday and Sunday, April 27-28.
  • At the Hartford Invitational, sophomore Morgan Powers (Glastonbury, Conn.) finished in second place as an individual. Powers was the leader after the first day of the tournament as she tied her career-best with a round of 77 (+5). She concluded the tournament with a score of 81, which placed her in second at plus-14 (158).
  • At the Patriot League Championship, freshman Marisa Cameron (Garden City, N.Y.) finished in 15th place with a total score of 262 (+52) to lead the Crusaders. Powers placed 16th with a 54-hole total of 264 (+54).
  • Powers ranks first on the Crusaders with an 18-hole average score of 88.2, while Cameron is second with an average score of 89.3. Senior co-captain Kelly Reagan (Mendota Heights, Minn.) has an 18-hole average of 95.1, which ranks third on the squad.
