Women's Golf Earns Seventh Place Finish At Jack Leaman Invite

AMHERST, Mass. – The Holy Cross women's golf team placed seventh out of 12 teams with a total two-day score of 704 at the Jack Leaman Invitational, held at the Hickory Ridge Golf Course. Freshman Morgan Powers (Glastonbury, Conn.) led the Crusaders for the sixth time this season and shot a two-day score 163, tying for 12th. Lauren Monty of host Amherst won the individual title with a 154.

Senior Ellie Deluca (New Canaan, Conn.), competing in her final collegiate match, followed behind Powers with a 172 and finished in a tie for 24th. Sophomore Mary Beckerman (Avon, Conn.) finished with a 182 while junior Kelly Reagan (Mendota Heights, Minn.) and senior Lauren McCarthy (Beverly, Mass.) rounded out the team's performances with respective scores of 187 and 230. Tournament host Amherst won the team title with 633 total strokes.

With today's final results, the Crusaders have now completed their 2011-2012 slate.
